WHO IS LUCID LIBRA?

Hi! My name is Amanda Brown and I am the owner of Lucid Libra Handmade.  With 20+ years of experience, I consider myself an advanced crafter, having mastered many various forms of art, including acrylic painting, wood painting, terra cotta, home decor, pinterest style crafting, and much more.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE "LUCID LIBRA" AS YOUR BUSINESS NAME?

​

     I am a Libra and am very in tune with the cosmos. I feel that my Empathic abilities as a lower level sensitive and medium really help me connect with people on a deep personal level, Hence, my choice for the business name. I find such happiness and fulfillment keeping my loyal customers close by interacting with them on social media. Doing so allows me to really get to know their likes and dislikes, and who they are as a person. I also get to show my support and friendship to them through their endeavors in life, the same as they have me by supporting my business.

BACK STORY
 

I was born with cleft lip and palate. Life has been quite the struggle for me, as you can imagine. My childhood is honestly quite the blur of numerous surgeries, bullying, and struggle. I learned at a very young age, that society would not be accepting of someone that appeared so different, and that those differences would in turn make my soul special as well. Pain, trauma, and ostracization makes a person grow differently both mentally and emotionally. I buried myself into learning and setting goals. As an early adult I was discriminated against often when trying to find employment, and within work places. I struggled in life, in love, and with myself. Every tribulation was a lesson learned, and I have now learned to be grateful for those lessons, and proud of the person that I have become because of them. In realizing that the public workforce just was not ever going to be a successful, nor healthy, environment for me, I started painting and crafting (as more than just a hobby), and pouring myself into building a network of friends all over the country, that I now hold dear to my heart. With that I have been able to sell my paintings and pieces to wonderful people all over the world, and am now publishing them as the covers on a wide variety of my self-designed journals. It gives me peace to know that even if just a handful of people, I have helped them to surround themselves with beauty through my artworks, and heal themselves through journaling their amazing minds and lives.
